On November 6th, Norm Gillespie set a new world record as the oldest Jetlev pilot on record. At the age of 85 years young, Norm celebrated his birthday in style, with airborne views of a slightly foggy Newport Harbor.
After his flight, Norm’s wife Pat wrote us this very nice email, “Yesterday, Norm Gillespie
had the best birthday thanks to all of you. He laughed and talked about his
Jetlev adventure all afternoon and evening and this morning woke up still
pleased as up he could be. He thought each one of you was
outstanding, gracious and great fun. Thank you!“

At Jetlev Southwest, we encourage anyone and everyone to come out and experience the wonders of personal flight. In as little as five to ten minutes, most first-time pilots can be up flying. Since opening in 2011, we’ve had customers from all walks of life, including three deaf pilots, a quadriplegic, and an amputee. We don’t believe in the concept of “disabilities” or excuses like “I’m too old” or “I’m not athletic enough.” If you have an open mind and a desire to hover above the water, we’ll get you flying in no time! If you’ve got a special situation that might affect your ability to fly, just let us know and we’ll make sure we give you the extra attention to get you airborne.
See you in the sky!!
