Is that Heidi Klum? Jetpack America flies contestants of Germany’s Next Top Model

A couple of months ago Jetpack America had a “top secret” shoot on the 18th street beach in Newport California. In the very early hours of the morning, a large television production crew started setting up on the beach for a full day of filming. The Jetpack America Instructors were kept in the dark about “who” and “what” would be filmed until the day of the event. You can imagine their joy and surprise when they saw supermodel Heidi Klum walking down the beach!

Although the weather conditions were poor with light rain and heavy winds, eight beautiful girls all vying to be Germany Next Top Model came running down the beach excited to try out the Jetpack. The girls age range was from 16-20 years old and they were all very nervous during their initial Jepack training. Some of the girls were so competitive they decided to decline the warm comfort of a wetsuit and chose to fly in bikinis hoping to get the winning photo.

From the beach, photographers and film crew captured their every move on the water. Aside from just flying, they had to hold poses while in flight to capture the best still photo possible. This would be difficult even for experience flyers but these girls had winning on the mind and were not detoured by the weather or risks involved with flying a jetpack.

All of the Jetpack America employees, male and female, were so excited to interact with the Heidi Klum and the models. Jetpack Instructor Isaac Rowe literally had to be in the cold water shadow flying most of the girls but I don’t think he minded too much being up close to all the gorgeous girls.

Now that the Action Episode of Germany’s Next Top Model has aired we are excited to share some photos of this incredible film shoot.
