On October 2, 1012, Stefan Freeman disproved the word disability. He became the first C6 paraplegic to fly the Jetlev R200 in Newport Beach, California. Freeman, who hails from Vail, Colorado suffered a spinal cord injury in May 1997 and was paralyzed from mid-chest down. He did not let his injury stop him from pursuing the adventure sports he loved.
When Freeman first arrived for his flight, we trained him in our office first and talked about what he should expect when he was out in the water. He was very excited to experience the feeling of flight and was an inspiration to all of our staff with his fearless attitude.
Check out the video below to see Stefan Freeman fly for the very first time.
