Many inexperienced operators naively believe, "If you fly it, they will come." Unfortunately it takes a little more than that to get customers in the door, so do not underestimate the importance of advertising and marketing.


Catching people's attention on the water is one thing, getting customers to hand over their hard-earned cash to make a reservation is entirely different. Building your business will take time, so be patient, but give yourself the best chance at success.


Here is the short list of critical items every commercial jetpack operator must have in order to be successful:


  • High-quality website
  • Social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Flyers and printed materials
  • Business cards for owners
  • Storefront signs
  • Business phone number and emails account
  • Third party companies offering the activity (Travelocity, Expedia, etc.)
  • Print advertising (use sparingly, due to high cost)
